GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Provide support to the Reliability Team in the management of assets, metrics, maintenance activities, and testing evidence for AECC assets. This position will also provide technical support to the Director of Power Delivery District field operations and the Supervisor of Reliability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyst I

  • Provide technical support to Power Delivery Team via Microsoft applications, SharePoint, & Adobe Acrobat.  
  • Assist in data collection & data cleansing of non-NERC transmission assets.  
  • Assist in collecting, organizing, & maintaining test evidence for all non-NERC transmission assets.  
  • Assists with Power Delivery Reliability records management to insure that all records are retained in correct network location.  
  • Assist in the development & maintenance of the mobile data collection system by creating forms structures, populating data sources, & setting up automatic data filing & destinations.  
  • Provide administrative support by helping to align AECC asset naming conventions within EAMS & Excel trackers.  
  • Assist in the development & organization of testing materials for Power Delivery technician skills assessment.  
  • Assist in creating requisitions & purchase orders for District Mangers.  
  • Keeps supervisor informed at all times of matters important to the Cooperative, particularly where member cooperatives or other power supplies are involved.  
  • Attends seminars & workshops on job related subjects as directed.  
  • Assists & provide administrative support to Power Delivery staff in the performance of their duties with technical & other assistance as directed.  
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.  
  • Due to our obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to our customers, the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance & the ability to work outside your regularly scheduled office hours when necessary is an essential function of the job.  
  • Maintain awareness of & compliance with applicable laws & regulations from various regulatory entities, internal policies, procedures, and directives. Ensure ongoing monitoring & timely incorporation of any changes to maintain adherence to compliance standards.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES CONT'D

Analyst II 

  • Collect, process, and maintain test evidence required for NERC compliance.
  • Organize and record changes to BES and UFLS List to ensure compliance to NERC standards.
  • Assist with the RFQ/RFP process to provide testing and maintenance support to Power Delivery departments.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Assist with procurement and contracting related to purchase and testing of critical equipment.
  • Assist with the purchase and invoicing process to order equipment and materials for the Power Delivery departments.
  • Assess supplier/contractor performance, compliance, delivery timelines, and adherence to contracts.
  • Perform data analysis tasks such as data collection, data cleansing, and data transformation to prepare maintenance and financial reports and dashboards for upper Management.
  • Assist with Power Delivery O&M and Capital accounting functions including preparation of budget and work orders.
  • Assist in the inventory and management of transmission assets through databases such as Excel, Avantis, SharePoint, etc., while maintaining good data structure.
  • Assist in providing key metrics and data analysis utilizing PowerBI, Excel, SharePoint Lists, etc.
  • Assist with the implementation maintenance of the mobile data collection system (TrueContext) by creating forms, routing data sources, setting up automatic data filing and destinations, and working with district personel to ensure proper use of TrueContext.
  • Assists in the development and organization of testing materials for technician testing.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to address business challenges.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

  • Assist in the inventory & management of transmission assets through databases such as Excel, Avantis, SharePoint, etc., while maintaining good data structure.
  • Assist with Reliability records management to ensure that all records are retained in correct network location & organized appropriately for data loading.  
  • Assist with Power Delivery O&M & Capital accounting functions including preparation of budget items & work orders & processing invoices.  
  • Perform data analysis tasks such as data cleansing, data transformation, & forecasting for maintenance & financial reports & dashboards for upper Management.  
  • Analyze & interpret data to provide insights and recommendations for AECC Maintenance Planning and capital budget.  
  • Use key metrics to provide predictive analytics for District maintenance work.  
  • Assist in designing & programming applications and software to meet identified needs.  
  • Assist with the implementation & maintenance of the mobile data collection system by creating forms, routing data sources, setting up automatic data filing & destinations. 
  • Analyze existing program logic to troubleshoot malfunctions & modify logic to eliminate issues & increase operational efficiency.  
  • Identify deficiencies in Power Delivery’s data collection & data governance processes & make efforts to increase the reliability and efficiency of these processes.  
  • Review all data, provide trends, & data-driven insight.  
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of a Data Analyst Training Program for new & current Reliability Analysts.  
  • Assist with ERP implementation & maintenance for the Power Delivery Division.  
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to address business challenges.  
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.  
  • Assist Power Delivery staff in the performance of their duties with technical and other assistance as required or assigned.    

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES CONT'D

Senior Analyst 

  • Analyze complex data sets, craft insightful visualizations, & provide management with valuable data to drive decision-making.
  • Analyze existing program logic to troubleshoot malfunctions & modify logic to eliminate issues and increase operational efficiency.
  • Indentify deficiencies in Power Delivery’s data collection & data governance processes, & make efforts to increase the reliability & efficiency of these processes. 
  • Design & program applications & software to meet identified needs. 
  • Prepare proposals that include flowcharts & diagrams to illustrate steps & logical operations to be used for training new users.
  • Evalute the financial impact of procurement decisions & create cost benefit analysis reports for management review.
  • Assists with Power Delivery O&M & Capital accounting functions including preparation of budget items & work orders and processing invoices.
  • Analyze & interpret data to provide insights & recommnedations for AECC Maintenance Planning & capital budget.
  • Assist in the inventory & management of all Power Delivery assets through various databases. 
  • Assist in maintaining data integrity, structure & collection for Reliability & District maintenance work utilizing Excel, SharePoint Lists, etc.
  • Use data trends & forecasts to help make informed decisions relating to asset health indexing, cost-benefit anaslysis, etc. 
  • Review all data to provide data-driven decisions for future maintenance procedures & intervals.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to address business challenges.
  • Provide supervision, delegate tasks, monitor projects & provide feedback to summer interns.
  • Create & maintain a “Data Analyst Training Program” to train new & current Reliability analysts.
  • Assists with Power Delivery Reliability records management to ensure that all records are retained in correct network location & organized appropriately for data loading. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Analyst I 

  • Associate Degree in Mathematics, Engineering Technology, Computer Science or similar related field or 1 + years of experience in a data driven environment or comparable work experience.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel).  
  • Ability to learn and utilize new data software.  
  • Valid driver's license.  

Analyst II

  • Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Engineering Technology, Computer Science or similar related field, plus 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training.  Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Driver’s License.
  • PowerBI – Beginner/Intermediate.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications required.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and software.
  • Proficient in language and technical writing skills. 

Analyst III

  • Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Engineering Technology, Computer Science or similar related field, plus 4 to 7 years related experience and/or traininge. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • PowerBI - Advanced.  
  • Driver’s License.  
  • Experience with Microsoft applications required. 
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and software.  
  • Proficient in language and technical writing skills.  
  • Knowledge of ERP development tools, coding languages, and business processes.  

Senior Analyst

  • Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Engineering Technology, Computer Science or similar related field, in addition to 7+ years related experience and/or traininge.  Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Driver’s License.
  • PowerBI - Expert.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications required.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and software.
  • Proficient in language and technical writing skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP development tools, coding languages, and business processes. 

PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Experience with data collection programs (TrueContext, ProntoForms, etc.)
  • Experience with data analytics software and programs (PowerBI, PowerQuery, SQL, etc.)
  • Ability to improve data quality and asset identification
  • Some knowledge of process documentation
