GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

AECC is a Generation & Transmission Utility for the 17 Distribution Cooperatives located throughout Arkansas.  AECI is the sales & services company owned by the Distribution Cooperatives that sell electric utility parts and equipment as well as right-of-way and construction services across a five-state region.    The Corporate Compliance Intern will help support the company's adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies by performing research, data analysis, and administrative tasks associated with our departmental areas of responsibility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Research & Analysis: Research regulations, analyze data, and research best practices for policies and procedures.  
Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and other documentation that assists with corporate records and other compliance-focused projects.  
Process Support: Help review internal processes for accuracy and consistency.  
Training & Education: Help review in-house compliance trainings and other processes.  
Work Collaboratively: Assist with various areas of responsibility including FERC, NERC, Records, and Corporate Governance projects.  
Maintain awareness of and compliance with applicable laws and regulations from various regulatory entities, internal policies, procedures, and directives. Ensure ongoing monitoring and timely incorporation of any changes to maintain adherence to compliance standards.  
Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Enrollment in a Bachelor’s program.  
High school diploma or equivalent.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Strong ability to understand complex topics across a wide variety of subject matters and implement assignments with various steps. High level of integrity with attention to detail. Technologically adept and advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.
